Orbiter levels are inspired by this mission. Their distances, timing and extra orbit challenges are adapted for gameplay.
Launched on August 12, 2018, it became the first spacecraft to fly through the Sun's outer atmosphere, the corona, in 2021.
Venus flybys remove orbital energy relative to the Sun, opening a path to closer solar encounters.
A carbon-composite heat shield about 11.4 cm thick faces the Sun to protect the sensitive instruments.
