THE REAL MISSION
Orbiter levels are inspired by this mission. Their distances, timing and extra orbit challenges are adapted for gameplay.
Launched in 1997, it entered Saturn orbit in 2004. Its European-built Huygens probe landed on Titan in 2005.
Water-vapor and ice plumes at Enceladus provided evidence to investigate the ocean beneath its icy crust.
On September 15, 2017, Cassini deliberately entered Saturn's atmosphere, protecting potentially habitable moons from contamination.
